Satttheman, did your 1521 come with a 8mm shaft? If not did you have to special order for the 5mm shaft? If it is 8mm,, where did you get a pinion for it?

I wanna do a 1521 on 5S. I can get two 5S 5000mah packs and run them parallel for 10000mah total on 5S. That should run me hopefully an hour on my LST2.

I ran my Muggy for the first time this morning and i wasn't that bad. I'm running a 8XL, MM, 4S, 18T Pinion, stock gearing. Fully loaded it weighs in at 11.5 lbs., it seemed really fast and balloned the 40 series Big Joes easily, but the temps were a little too high for me. The MM was 160, motor 160, Lipo 120.

I switched to a 16T and the temps went down. MM 125, motor 140, lipo 105. It probably didn't help that I was running Bog Joe tires too. They seem way too heavy for this setup, but I liked the way it handled. A big difference from my LST2.

Does anyone have the weight for one stock Muggy tire and rim?

stock muggy wheel/tire is 329 g, or about 11.5 oz.

Wow I thought there would be a bigger difference.

Thanks bdebde, a 40 series big joe and velocity rim weigh 14oz., 2.5oz. isn't that big of a deal. I might as well keep them.

so if you buy the brushless motor mount, it replaces the brake servo? does this mean you can only use motor brakes and not mechanical brakes?
how would using motor brakes work with a center diff?

thanks

Motor brakes work fine with a center diff, just need to go a little heavier weight on the center diff fluid. Mechanical brakes can be done with a spacer in front of the motor, if you have to have mechanical brakes.

with a spacer infront of the motor? how would that work seeing as there isnt a servo there anymore? i will probably just use motor braking but i am still curious as to how mechanical braking would work

You'll need to find a place to mount the servo, but what the spacer does is push the motor farther back so that the motor can will not hit the brake pads and disk..

im ust curious as to whether the Muggy uses the same chassis as the 8ight-T? If it does, then technically this conversion kit should work for the muggy: http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...R400836&cat=22

Any thoughts?
