Opinions on a 1515 1700kv on 4s for my FLM maxx w/ 1/8 diffs all around. I only have 4s batteries and will probably not order 5s just to keep things simple for multiple applications w/ the 4s
1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

I think that motor will definitely be on the slow side if you only run 4s. I would consider the 1515/2d (2050KV)...

I was thinking the same thing. I should buy a couple of 5s, then I could use the smaller motor and get better run times.
1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

What ESC are you planning to run? If you are going to the MMM then you could consider up to 6S for a very efficient system with cool long runtimes.
1515/2D (2050kv) - 4S @ ~5000mAh (74W/hr) (30,340rpm)
1515/2.5D (1650kv) - 5S @ ~3900mAh (72.15W/hr) (30,525rpm)
1515/1.5Y (1500kv) - 6S @ ~3300mAh (73.26W/hr) (33,300rpm)
As you can see all 3 combinations have about the same rpms, the same Watt-hour capacity and about the same battery weight. Yet the 6S setup will be the most efficient and coolest running.

I like to target a total of 35,000 rpms with set ups my suggestions are
4s-1515/1y
5s-1515/2d
6s-1515/2.5d

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

Go with the 2D on 5s. The 2.5D on 6s would be even better though, IMO.

The 1515/2.5d on 4s is similar to the titans with stock gearing, however you can go taller with the gearing. I run a strobe/51 tooth ofna spur. I run 20/51 (mod-1) gearing with 1/8 gears, in my revo. On 4s its slow, but not so slow its boring, It could use a bigger gear. On 5s its wicked, its suttle like a heart attack, 6s (haven't tryed) Kind of scares me, I'm pulling tires off with 5s
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
