The Age Thread - 06.17.2008, 10:46 PM

Yeah - I know it's been done before, but when I was at the LHS with my fiance picking up my E-Revo this past weekend we all got to talking and they said that most of their customers were around my age because most younger didn't have the money to spend on the hobby. Anyway - seeing a lot of new names here and was just curious to find out the following:

1 - Your Age
2 - How long you've been into RC
3 - What was your first "real" model?

I'll start:

1 - 33
2 - 20 years
3 - Kyosho Optima Mid 1/10 4WD EP

1. 28
2. 3 years, maybe less
3. xl1 pede but I had a Nikko on-road car first (was a gift) so the Nikko actually got me in the hobby (mainly cause I wanted a better r/c than that!)

25 years with a 14 year break in the middle. Back in for about 6 years.

I think it was a Tamiya Hornet. But I'm not even sure any more.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
