If you're looking for a good bike, try the 2008 Giant Rincon. It ran me $400 american and is a very great bike. A bit on the heavy side, but for $400 you can't argue.

I used to do flatland, but now I only do mountain biking. I used a Haro Shreder at the time, and although it wasn't designed for flatland, it worked great for it as well as skate parks and dirt jumps.

I loved the dirt, either dirt jumping or downhill

Yeah, but it does make a good "city cruiser" bike. Just sort of a fast- food-place-and-back-to-house bike.

Drift , you downhill ?

I use to do flatland back in the days when Matt Hoffman ( the Condor ) was starting out as well in vert .
Prob like nearly 20 years ago

Had a Haro , can't remember the model , but it had a twin top tube so you could stand on it easily and gyros had just come in and would fail often .

Flatland I'm assuming is just BMX. Bike looks the same. I do downhill riding myself. Sold my Specialized Ground Control FSR when I moved to Houston(no hills in the entire city) and haven't purchased another now that I'm back in North Ga. Theres something about knowing your one wrong move away from cracking your scull that makes downhill so much fun. The trails I generally ride are impossible to navigate without slowing to a near crawling speed. Its a 2 mile uphill and 1.5 mile downhill track on the face of a mountain. Crazy switchbacks and a creek you have to cross at 30mph 3 times. Lots of rockbeds too. Just an awsome trail.

The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

I didn't know there were so many downhillers here... I downhill as well. Although I haven't gotten a chance to ride (or race) recently) due to a separated shoulder. Had a pretty bad crash...
