Upkeep on Teckno Nue 1515???

Is there any regular maintenance/upkeep that needs to be performed on the Nue motors, Lube the bearings etc?

Tekno Neus need no maintenance at all. Keep them under 60k RPM and under 180 degrees (mine always ran around 140) and they should run for years without a problem.

Learn from my mistake though, check your motor screw length before you use it I don't know how far into the motor the screws can go, but I killed mine by using screws that were too long

LOL...this may be a stupid question but before i ruin my new motor i'll ask .....how do you know if the screws are too long ?? ...thanks for the help

Well, I gently screw them into the motor by hand to feel when they hit the windings inside, Then you can measure the remaining thread length not screwed into motor to see if they are longer then your motor mount is thick, if so they are too long.

I like the threads to stick out about half motor mount thickness or a little less.

Then i Chop the screw with a dermal cutoff wheel about two or three threads short of touching the windings of the mounted motor.

I think the Nue motors have like 5mm of threads.

also most wire strippers have a thead cutting tool built in
look for the 4-40 marking as they are the right size

That is correct (5mm), at least for the regular Neu's, I would think the Tekno's would be the same.
