FLM Hybrid Bulkheads - 11.21.2005, 08:20 AM

Hey guys, I don't know if this has been discussed before. If yes, just link me to the thread.

Anyway, those FLM Hybrid Bulkheads sound awesome. What diffs would I need??

the ue diffs or a 1/8 buggy diff would work daniel. I got a set and they are sweet. I put the ofna 1/8 buggy diffs in it. I have not got to test them yet.

Peace!

UE diffs are ofna, I believe.
Not all 1/8 diffs are exactly the same, though.

Thank you, Leroy

Daf i heard the UE drive cup will not fit thru the hole on the FLM bullkless setup with out mods. I thought serum had this problem, but not 100% sure on that. I think the ofna drive cups fit.

Yeah, i did a bit of pilot testing on those things.. That problem is corrected though.. Daniel, you don't want the original OFNA diffs, their cups are too short to fit the CVD's (you need to use spacers on the CVD's then, the UE diffs (8spiders) are about 65 dollars a set, including all the needed bearings, pinion and ringgear.. And they are FUN to make!) make sure to order some shimms with them as well.

Okay, I will talk to Mike about this. These bulkheads seem like a smart idea. Can't argue with the price, too.
But this upgrading the EMaxx project will have to wait until next year. (good thing it's already end of Nov:D )

Mike has some ofna diffs with 8 spider gears in them put together. If not running alot of power the 6 spider gear are strong.

Peace!

for a centerdiff conversion, you could use the HB diffs, they are a 10/43 ratio... (and tough as possible)

HB diffs work in the FLM hybrids, too. The UE diffs fit fine now as well, as Serum and basketti mentioned. Tough to beat for the money.
