TrueRc + MMM - 12.31.2008, 11:55 PM

Hey guys, I bought two 3s 15c 5000 mah lipo's from TrueRc. It claimed on the website that it would would perfect with the MMM. The batts have a 75A continous rating and a 100A maxx burst. The maxx continous is 120A on the MMM +2200kv combo. I have it geared 18/68. Should use these batteries or buy some 25c neuenergy 3s lipos? Thanks and Happy New Year!

I would give it a go. They advertise those batteries for a serious brushless setup so I say go for it. 15C at 5000mah is 75 continuous which is a lot of amps to be running continuous. To give you an idea my 38mph emaxx is 35-38 continous with peaks of 78, 7xl on 4S. 18/68 might be a bit tall for 6S though. What type of speeds you looking to get. Anymore than 50mph and I might not run those packs.

I own their 5000mah 10C packs and am very impressed with them. Ya I calced about 46mph on Brian G's speed calc. I think those batteries will be fine. If in doubt you can always email truerc tech support, but I think they will tell you its ok.

I know a lot of guys are into the 25-30C packs, but if the guys selling these batteries would rate them properly you would see that you dont need that much current to run these rigs. Thats why I like truerc, they rate their batteries accurately. Now the punch is going to be better on the neu packs, but even for punch these are overkill

I have the mmm 2200 combo in my e-revo and run the 2s x2 8000mah 10c without issues. They perform very well. They hold there voltage every bit as good as my enerland 25c 6000s with this combo. I was shocked too! It got my thinking why did I spend $128 each for the 6000s(bought 4 of them)if the the 8000s are only 85 each and yeild the same performance and get longer runtimes? I think the 8000 15c ones will be my next perchase. Or 2 of the 4s 10c 5000s and parellel them to 10,000mah!
