Help with build a strong diff ! What to use?

I blew out my stock 3905 diffs with the MMM brushless combo. What can I buy to make these these stronger? It seems to be that really big gear that is stripping out... Any advice?

Buggy/truggy diffs are good alternatives. Ofna, Hot Bodies etc. However, none of these will last if not properly shimmed.

The 16.8v diffs from the 3906 are stronger than what you just destroyed. I'm running a set unshimmed in my 3905 and they are better tha the stock diffs. They are an intermediate strength solution to this problem. The FLM hybrids are prob the best all around solution, but are pricey and need to be shimmed as pointed out. Go to Ebay and find the diffs for use in them, you can get them for about 1/2 as much than elsewhere.

Using buggy diffs will re-gear your EMaxx so be prepared to make a spur/pinion gear change to compensate.

You're not making sense at all. Are you saying that the 16.8V diffs from a 3906 are stronger? The 3906 uses the weak 2-screw diffs while the 16.8V(3905 emaxx) uses the stronger diffs.

He said he already destroyed his 3905 diffs.

The hot bodies pinion shaft is 8mm. You need to buy Mike's adapter in order to use the traxxas centers.

do you by chance have links to the adapter or can tell me where to get it? is the adapter for the pinion or the output shaft to the wheels?

Don't use the truggy gears use the buggy gears. These:

They will be closer to the original ratio than the truggy gears and you will not have to compensate as much. My hybrid bulks and HPI buggy gears are holding up fine to a 5s/2200kv set up.

The hybrid bulks should be compatible with the G4 chassis. I bought them to use with my G3 chassis and they are a perfect fit. Also as stated above, you really should use the buggy diffs instead of the truggy diffs (the truggy diff ratio isn't necessary in your emaxx).

The hybrid bulks should work fine. I don't have a G4 but I would assume the G3 Maxx and FLM hybrid bulks would fit just fine. Especially considering that the 3905 basically uses the same bulks as the earlier Maxx version. Therefore it is safe to say that the G4 will also work fine with the earlier bulks (to include FLM hybrid bulks).

If you already have purchased the truggy diffs...I think you could keep them and just use a pinion gear that has a +2 or +3 tooth count and you'd be fine. Sometimes this is the best option anyway given the size of the large Neu 1515 series motor and the resulting limitation it imparts on what pinion sizes you can use with the stock motor mount (or most aftermarket motor mounts for that matter).
