bullets on board of the V3

has anyone besides me been worried when pulling out the phase wires on the MMM, that they would have an episode of the old VXL ESC scenario?

every time i go to putt out my phase wires from the MMM i am petrified of loosening the bullets on the board and damaging them.

am i just paranoid or should bullets be put on wires like traxxas did with bullets on the end of thoes? (yeah well traxxas had no choice and it was STILL a crap ESC )

Ya just paranoid boy; Castle escs are made by professionals, where as the traxxas escs were assembled by chimps, in china, driniking PG tips probably...

The larger surface area on the bottom of the 6.5mm plug should keep it formly rooted to the PCB vs the 3mm? 3.5mm? bullets on the vxl escs..

Also, the 6.5mm bullets we use on the MMM are through-hole, which means they mount through a copper plated hole drilled in the circuit board. So they are soldered on both sides of the board (with a pin that goes through the board.)

So there is significant mechanical connection as well as the soldered connections. They are much tougher than SMT connectors which only have a small soldered connection on the board.

I don't plan on screwing around with my bullet connections, I heard that every connect/disconnect risks poor connection and wear out. Of course, these are probably the same nimrods who insist the MMM is completely waterproof

i could have sworn i saw them move last time i unplugged them

they are just such a tight connection
also...is there any risk of the board getting flexed by the removing of the bullets?
dont wanna break any superfine connetions!
