Suuuper strong velcro? -
12.15.2009, 11:34 PM
I bough a 2ft strand 8 months ago or so and my HS cant find it again. It was a heli velcro with a X or Z name I believe. Either way, I need to find some because I am out and it was just pure awesomeness for my needs.

I bought pretty industrial strength stuff at my ace hardware in large rolls. I think it was like $25. Strong enough to get get frustrating when trying to pry apart in tight spaces like between tray and spur.

dual lock -

They have that available at Hobos in pieces. I think I paid 5.00 for like 50 pieces instead of 3.99 for only 4 pcs at Target.

Walmart sells a 15' roll of 2" wide sticky back velcro for ~$25. The brand name is "Industrial Strength".
Its what I've been using where ever I need velcro.

3M dual lock is the way to go as it is stronger than any velcro I have seen and also is easy to keep clean unlike velcro that tends to collect all the dirt from the track

Dual lock is great stuff - I like the 250/400 combination for larger items like ESCs, and use the low profile stuff for my receivers. The VHB adhesive is also pretty impervious to chemicals, fuel etc., so it stays put. :)

This must be the same stuff I saw on Mythbusters the other night - they said it sticks to itself (that was the only description they gave), and I was going to try to search for it, but ya'll saved me the trouble!

Would this stuff be good to make battery straps with or is it too difficult to pull apart?
