Need help to fix computer error!

Im still rocking XP because i knew vista was trash all along. Ive never had a single problem with my computer so far since 2002. Yesterday i got blue screened, i was just doing my normal thing checking the forums and email and BAM blue screened, it only flashed for a split second saying it had a serious error and was shutting down to protect itself.

It then attempted to restart itself and blue screened again so as it was attempting to boot up a 3rd time unplugged everything and turned the wireless network off. It booted up and i choose to boot up normal and everything was normal. It gave me the error report and i did my normal stuff so i figured all was good, and as soon as pressed the button to enable the wireless internet it blue screened agian........... so now my wireless internet wont work. (im plugged into my router right now in safe mode if your wondering)

So i tried to restore to a week previous to try an undo the error, and it didnt work, so i read the tech data for the error, and it gives me two files that will be included in the error report, thinking these were the root of my problem i was going to remove them, but i cant find them, they are:

C:\DOCUME~1\Ross\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERa7fd.dir00\Mini0 11310-02.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Ross\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERa7fd.dir00\sysda ta.xml

If anyone on here can PLEASE help me get this sorted out i will definetly compensate them (in the form of goods or a GC to the store once it is fixed) i just dont wanna pay HP tech support $100 when there is no garuntee they can help, SO if you think you can help me PLEASE post here or PM me or call me at 903-733-3902. Id rather give to one of my fellow memebers than to so tech guy i cant even understand who keeps telling me to talk slowly (im from arkansas its not like i talk 90mph)

1 - those two files are just the report that would be sent to microsoft. deleting them wouldn't do anything.
2 - best bet is to reinstall your wireless drivers.
3 - try running "bluescreenview" - it gives the actual error. Which will probably be something with your wireless drivers. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

I don't care about compensation, btw. If you reinstall your drivers, and that doesn't help, let us know here. And post the results of bluescreenview either way, it'll give us better direction on where to look.

yes it is prob your wireless drivers....or your Ethernet card may be on its way out

so should i install a new driver from from HP and remove this old one?

yea.. hp offers driver packages for some models. its prefered if you could get one of those as it may weed out other potential issues...

do you have the possibility to check your router at another PC or Laptop?

the blue screen view thing says ALL the crashes were caused by

-NDIS.sys driver
-NDIS.sys+18f0f (address)
-NDIS 5.1 wrapper driver (discription)

yes we have 4 others in the house and no router problems its this CP

its a HP dv1040us


and what the hell is a "wrapper driver" ?

before you get a new driver try this
Unplug the ethernet cable
control panel
device manager
right click on your ethernet card or controller
properties...
TCP/IP settings......
Use other IP address....
uninstall the antivirus security NDIS (Antivirus) mini filter if you have one...
restart
plug cable back in

wrapper drivers kinda make them universal... its really so it can be used on diff operating systems
