Reverse with mechanical brakes (tx settings) -
03.11.2010, 12:46 PM
Heres little how to for using mechanical brakes and reverse.
This works with Futaba 3PK, and should work with others that have programmable switches and channel mixing.
-Disable brake mixing
-Activate button/switch1 to use program1
-Activate button/switch2 to use program2
Program1, this removes reverse when braking
-master channel, throttle
-slave channel, throttle
-operation, brake -100%
(fwrd=0, brak=-100, mst=th, slv=th, mode=act, ofst=0, mxmd=off, trim=off)
Program2, enables mechanical brakes (3ch movement)
-master channel, throttle
-slave channel, 3ch
-operation, brake +100%
(fwrd=0, brak=+100, mst=th, slv=3ch, mode=act, ofst=0, mxmd=off, trim=off)
Original brake mixing can be used if it can be switched on/off via button/switch, then you need only program1.
When driving both programs need to be switched on, when there is need to reverse just switch both programs off.
Motor brake is recomended to use, otherwise you wont be able to brake when reversing.
