This is on the way to me! - 06.20.2010, 11:01 PM

It's not an MOA, I know, but it gets me into the scene. I attended my first comp Memorial Day weekend and borrowed another guys TLT rig. I was hooked.

If this grows on me I will probably pick up an XR10 down the road.

I just did not want to get a bully or berg, I am not a fan of aluminum axles and with the XR10 coming out the prices just didn't seem justified for me. I know I won't be winning any comps but this will get me rolling.

Looks like a great choice. A losi can keep up with a berg no problem.

Maybe you could copy the info from the crawler forum over here, you can't see anything unless you have an account there.

I have heard this, just seems most berg people don't like to admit it. I will be spending my time working on driving skills anyway so for me being on the rocks is enough at this point. At the comp I was using a TLT based rig and was still happy with my performance on the course after watching the bully's and berg's run it. The only real issue I had was a fairly steep rock that the tires wouldn't hook up on. I only took out one gate then scored out trying to climb the steep wall. We shall see next time when I have a little practice and a better rig.

Quick note, I am not bashing the TLT rig as it was awesome of the owner to let me use it. He kept apologizing for the shafts popping on me and I made it clear he had no need to apologize when he let me borrow it in the first place. I just didn't want to sound ungrateful but was just stating the limitations of the rig.
