MBX6T to brushless - 07.07.2011, 04:20 AM

Well, this isn't something new. It's been done a thousand times before but I thought I'd share it anyway.

I've been running an E-Revo for quite some time and felt it was time to try something new especially since I built a second E-Revo from spare parts and a few additional parts from E-Bay chop shops. Sold it as a roller and bought the 6T as a roller without electronics.

It was in pretty good shape since it only had 2 hours of runtime on it. Got a banged up body and the original body (unpainted) and a set of Losi Truggy wheels in ok shape with the roller.

Since I'm a big fan of the electric powered RC's a BL system is a necessity so my E-Revo has willingly donated it's powerplant which is a MMM with a CC1518 1800kv motor.

On to the build!
I'm using the MBX6ECO battery/ESC mount and servo/reciever mount and a RC-Monster motor mount. I also bought the motor mount used and it's probably an early revision. Does it's job brilliantly though :)

The car out of the box:

After a bit of wrenching:

And then some more wrenching:

The RC-Monster motor mount:

Pretty clean:

Next step is to mount the ECO parts.
