I've had this new dual set up on my E-Maxx for almost a year now. Don't really have anywhere by my house that I am comfortable with attempting some speed runs. Narrow streets with cars = not good.
Well with today being Easter, the local Costco was closed so I ventured over to the parking lot. Perfect! Not a single car.

With my brother at the radar, I made a couple medium runs just to get the feel of it. First pass was a leisurely 46mph. Kicked it up a bit on the next couple then got 52mph and a 54mph. Then finally a 57mph. Then I decided I was going to bring it in and remove the spoiler for less drag. So as I'm bringing it in I got a little trigger happy and looped it at about 40mph (forgot to put my wheelie bar on) and it slid upside down for about 30 feet or so. Well in doing so, I ripped the damn antenna off, so that ended the fun.

Temps were good. Motors were in the 115* range and controllers were just over a hundred. With those temps I should be able to gear up a bit and along with removing the spoiler, should easily hit over 60mph. So, whens the next Holiday?:005:

Sounds like you had your share of fun during easter!

I read you got another job and have got more spare time now, so perhaps you don't need a holiday to do the next tests.

Any change you can have your brother swap the radar for a camera the next time?

Lol. Yes, I have weekends off now. Maybe when me and Metal Man hook up to bash our trucks, I could pay him to video tape it. Whada you say Travis?

Sounds like you had fun! Is there a way you can keep the antenna inside the shell? I did this for my Revo and really like not having to solder new wire all the time. :)

I wouldn't mind being payed :027:. However, one of my good friends happens to operate the camera while I drive, and I bet he wouldn't mind doing so for a truck like yours :018:.

No balooning on these tires. Very low profile. Was pretty controlable too.
Setup is dual 7XL's/9920 and two 5s Maxamps. And oh yes I forgot to mention, STOCK SLIPPER STILL HOLDING UP!!!

Those tires sound very nice...I'm still debating whether to get those or 40 Series Road Rages (and belting them). I know the belting would only last so long...but I'm deterred by the 17mm hexes (don't want to change hex sizes since I have 14mm on all my trucks right now).

I found that Road Rages (standard, not 40 series) to be horrible when it comes to traction. My truck would just spin out from a dead stop sometimes instead of doing a backflip like normal...I wouldn't recommend them...

Ehh...until I strip a 14mm hex (besides the wheel nut loosening - that doesn't count), I'll stick to 14mm.

I just don't really like the rim selection with 17mm or standard sized tire 23mm. They don't have enough bling lol :cool: I mean...I really prefer something more than dish wheels...c'mon... :032:

The 40 series 23mm Cheyenne do look nice, but I don't want to use 40 series...hella waste of motor power if you ask me.

The only reason I consider 40 series is for the low profile on the road rages.

BP, have you seen the Mugen and Thunder Tiger wheels? I love the MBX5T rims, and the STR's are a close second.
