The chassis plates were slightly thicker in the G3 chassis. I have the G2 with the G3 rear extension. I think the G3 plates are about 1/16 of an inch thicker.

It's actually a little more than you'd think, given the spur gear that he may be using. If he's using the 65 tooth spur gear, he would have to add about 6 teeth to his pinion to get the same rpm's...
