Stock XXL/LST2/Muggy axles without mods - yes. The 3mm pin goes through the axle and the hex - the bolt (normally a set screw) threads down inside the axle and holds the pin in place. I use the bolt because I can tighten down on it better than on a set screw. I bought the bolt at Lowe's.
