Njord,
very nice conversion. must be great to work closely with Fioroni. I gotta tell you though. I have bought a lot of Fioroni parts for my buggies/truggies and think they are the best hop-up parts available but i have never seen anyone else with them. They are way too expensive here in the states. For example, the hubs on the 8t are $105 US when the hubs of very similar quality can be purchased for $25-50 from every competitor. I would love to see that conversion in the states but it would never sell if it has the Fioroni prices - which it will cuz it has to be imported from Italy.

also, i love that astro-turf track. i recently started and energy drink company call Fighting Cock Energy Drink http://www.fightingcockenergy.com/ and if it should do well i hope to build a world class, astro-turf rc track here in the states. i have always wanted to build a turf track. they dont exist here and in fact i never even knew they existed. i just always go drive my truggies at the golf courses and i love driving on the short grass cuz its clean, fast, and soft on the truck. turf would be the same. i dont think our US tracks compare to yours. you mentioned that new one to be 360 meters. Our largest US track is the Farm and it is 250 ft x 250 ft ( 85 meters x 85 meters ).

would love to see more pics of more Fioroni conversions.

To learn, see and work with Vittorio Moroni (is the estabishler and owner of Fioroni and the man behind) is indeed really great and inspiring. As non pro drivers we learn a lot from him and by that we made a big progress by making the right setups for the different tracks we drive on.

Comparing consumer prices of OT parts in the US with Europe I expect that the conversion sets will have a price somewhere around $ 230,-. Might be higher than other conversions that are on the maret but by this you also get a OT hardcoated 7076 chassis. On my nitro I have a flexchassis of Fioroni. Also same quality and hardcoated. Running it now half a year I can only conclude that the chassis is worth its extra money. It is far more durable than the original Losi chassis. Would it become higher than that some people in between are making extra $ compared to margins on other products and it would be most interesting to buy as consumer directly in Europe.
I have intensive business contacts in the US. In fact I work (freelance) for US based companies in Europe, China and the US. By that I know how to world turns around and in which direction to ship .. More pictures of conversions will be posted at the moment I am home for christmas. At the moment I stay in Shanghai.

A friend of my has put a few vids on youtube from OT-BCP's running during a bigscale indoor sunday. 2 of them are the 8-T. 1 is of a RC8 OT BCP. The driver is a friend of me. He just switched over from bigscale to 1:8. It was his first time driving a 1:8 and he both set the best tracktimes and won his first race, although improvised small race he nuked the nitro'.s

From Vittorio I received an email that he has run a 8-T, powered by a 1515 3D on 10 s. He was really excited abouth the extreme performance. Half a year ago he did not really know that a 1:8 could drive on elektro..

Njord,
the videos are great. looks like a real performer. I know that Fioroni builds top quality stuff and i agree that you get what you pay for. is their a site where these conversions can be purchased?
do you have any more pics of the RC8t conversion?

i just finished my own custom RC8T conversion recently. here are a bunch of pics.
http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17104

i also have a done tekno conversion on the Losi 8 and 8t and have really liked theirs. their conversion also comes with hard anodized 7075 t6 aluminum chassis like yours. all the other conversions out there come with a small alum. motor mount and thats it but sell for the same price. Tekno is now selling their kits for only $129 or less. they used to be $199. as more and more technology comes out in the world of brushless conversions the prices will continue to go down. here is teknos new RC8T/SC8 conversion. not as nice as mine but still nice nonetheless.
