The one that came with my conversion kit for my 8ight-b measures 54mmX165MM on the inside.

It is raised up off the chassis by design to accomidate the mud guard screws in my 8ight, so it should do the same and give clearance in any vehicle, but I dont have an rc8 so I cant be sure it will work for you.
