i just tried a 1512 2200 on 5s however i couldnt get the neu close enough with a single speed diff. the chassis brace was stopping it from getting there as the fins are to big.
so i put a mamba monster 2200 on it and it worked fine until the motor for no reason let its magical smoke free. Sucks brandnew motor 5 minutes and 139 degrees. needless to say im waiting on the replacement now. it would seem the inferno gods dont want me running this car.

If the lst clutch will fit on the tekno clutch adapter then you can use it with the 2 speed screw on pinions that Mike sells.

I would just get his 2 speed adapter and do away with the clutch.

I ran an IGT clone with a small 1509 sized motor with the 2 speed and a modded 4-tec clutch bell. I had alot of issues with the clutch and ended up with a custom flywheels and al clutch shoes. Should have gone with a pinion adapter. I used mech brakes, and mixed them on the 3rd channel with the throttle channel.

If you plan to run more than 40mph with the IGT get a larger motor than the 1512. It will run cooler. Not sure if your batts will keep up to more than 40 though.
