The only good way to keep mechanical brakes is to go w/ the tekno kit iMO. Both the losi kit and the rcm mount w/ part of the losi kit you pretty much must go w/ motor braking. The losi kit if used will allow use of plastic spurs w/o any issues where the RCM will rub a bit and generate a lot of heat. The losi mount does seem to be a bit harder of material as well.. but don't get me wrong I use the RCM mount in my 8ight conversion and it does a great job as well. I use the tekin kit for my 8ight-t conversion.
