The craft section at Wal-Mart, Michael's (craft store), etc. I've seen it come in two thicknesses: 1/8" and 1/4" thick. The 1/8" kind (~$1 per sheet) comes in 8.5X11" sheets with and without an adhesive backing. The 1/4" stuff (~$1.50 per sheet) doesn't seem to come with the adhesive backing.

You can also use rubberized weather stripping and lay down strips to get the width you want. It is spongy so it does tend to mat down after a while, but does provide better cushion.

I've used all of these in various projects with good results.

You should have no problem finding them over there in Singapore. Try and locate a factory there, go to the office, get some scrap.
