Speedy BL, yes, but with the tekin truggy motor, your temps would be between 80 and 100F for the same top speed, with the increased efficiency...
Here in Europe we have tracks with long straight parts and very hard small curves, and the tekin buggy motor are just in lack of power compared to the truggy motor or the Castle 1515... We can't gear it for more 35mph unless it overheat, that's why we take bigger motors to keep temps good.
Maybe your track is not as difficult for your setup as ours...
More over, the truggy motors weights only 40 gramms more and is not more expansive... and he will be able to use it later, if he buy a truggy...
Always better to have power in the hand and to not use it than the contrary.
