The second bearing fail after how many batteries ? They suppose to hold a lot of time... Did you use the new rotor ? Maybe your first rotor is unbalanced, and do a lot of vibrations, resulting in the bearing failure.
Moreover, the bearing is suppose to be glued in the end bell to avoid the play you mentioned...
Anyway the 2 accidents are maybe linked, maybe steel of the pinion get in the bearing, is your pinion prematurely used or ?? You are doomed ...
Contact Castle support, their are very reactive and will take car of you. Good luck.
The bearings are not glued in, they are slip fit. I just replaced mine in my 2200 after 1 year of service... might have just been the wrong bearing at the wrong time...
