We tested this motor in 1:8 buggies, geared for 40mph, and it's heating very fast compared to other standard motor, so it's not a surprise if it heats in your Monster Truck. Gearing up will probably fried it, watch your temps man, and buy a temp probe!

18/52 is geared for 32mph on 6S in the E Revo.

With 4 pole motors, it has been my experience, that best performance comes when you put the right amount of load on them.

Undergeared, the motor just tops out.

To take advantage of the added torque a 4 pole makes, higher gearing is required.

I'm really looking for performance comparable to the Medusa Motors that I've played with.

I had a Medusa 36-60-1500kv in this truck geared 22/40 on 4S and it did GREAT!

However, there could be a big efficiency difference between the two.

Motors are not all created equal, that's for sure.
