I'm not sure, I haven't tried but I believe Castle had a feature on 1.29b that flashes an LED if you overvolt a Mamba ESC. I'm not sure if this disables it from driving, but Mamba XL firmware was added in 1.27b so if it becomes a problem there is a workaround.
