Was really hoping to get some feedback here...

This is really a nice ESC and is almost a direct replacement for the Mamba Monster.

Please post your experiences here.

Thanx!

Patrick

I have one, something is wrong with the start power and I just shipped it in. It ran perfectly at speed (above 3mph or so) but below that there was barley enough power to get the truck moving, much less spin the tires as it did from 3-20mph easily. It did this with two motors.

And I dislike the removable RX wire...I had to bend the pins around and use a zip tie to hold the wire and get it to make a good connection during a run and not come unplugged...

I'm sure the first problem was an error in manufacturing on mine, as for the second, i'd rather have a female rx plug than the three pins that fit too loosely

Fix those two things and it'll be golden

Thanks for the feedback !!

Hadn't seen any issue with the removable RX wire yet -- that's interesting that you are seeing it come loose. I'll have the engineering team here look at that and see if there's anything we can do to fix the issue on this side.

The start power issue is probably just that -- start power is set too low for your particular motor. Have you tried bumping it up?

Thanks!

Patrick

The start power is all the way up and it did in one 3 65C batteries and 2 motors...still can't go anyware below that speed. Castle has is and i'm working on getting my receipt to have it replaced (LHS closed down)

The removable rx wire would be a defect in the thickness of the pins or inserts in the wire plug, It was also one of the first run ESC's i think to where the problem may have been fixed already. I solved the wire problem by bending the 3 pins different directions so they hold pressure and then used a zip tie to prevent it from coming loose

Can you post up the setup you are seeing difficulty with? We just haven't seen an issue like this before. I'd like to have our engineers see if they can reproduce in the lab.

Thanx!

Receipt? Its a brand new system only out a few months. Don't seem like you would really need one. anyway I have thought about getting one for a slash 4x4 build I started.

I tried different firmware and settings and it still did it. I already have my new replacement back so I can't look up anything anymore. I can send you my packing slip information if you want to try to find my old esc and play with it since you guys already have it there.

And back to the wires pulling out, you guys already fixed it, the new version has tabs to clip the wires in, my first one only had the friction of the pins fitting into the slots holding them in.

Here is the new one:

My thoughts exactly, little bit of a hassle going through hobbytown headquarters to get a recept (since the local one shut down) but it's done now lol

I'm actually selling it. while I sent it back for repairs I got a ran a MMP instead and am just sticking to it for now. I got the Sidewinder 8th ESC for my SCT (140 degrees max racing without a fan). Assuming that one problem only me had, it's a great ESC
