Body Painting - - 04.26.2005, 09:28 PM

Hey Tom - The first body is usually the hardest. First thing - make sure the body is clean ( inside ) no fingerprints etc. Then make sure the masks you have for the windows is on and sealed around the edges. Use a hair dryer to heat up the masks so they stick around the edges better if you wish. Pick a simple design for the first - One color is even ok if you wish - I would rather have a single color come out perfect - rather than a couple of colors that bleed into each other or under the window masks. Thats my opinion though. You must use a paint designed for lexan - This type of paint ( I use pactra - These type of paints are found in hobby stores ) is flexible when dry as not to crack and chip when blasting the body into oblivion......Just take your time and experiment. If you want to use several colors and dont have an airbrush - you can use tape to seperate the colors. The blue painters tape from home depot works well. Spray the first coat on lightly. Too much and it will bleed and that will suck hard. If you wish to speed up the process - After the first coat - use a hairdryer to dry in between coats.

Hows that "Hope and Change" working out for Ya???
