What's wrong with a 2-speed E-Revo?

Bummer. It's too late to go with the Maxx transmission because of the chassis I ordered. OK then, has anyone found the most effective way to make the Revo trans a one-speed? Direct me to a thread if there is one.

Did you order the stock chassis? If so, it's just takes a little filing to get the Emaxx tranny to fit.

To convert the Revo tranny to single speed, just remove first gear (the one with the OWB on it) and then find a way to lock the centrifugal clutch to the second gear. That's it.

b0gh0s has a neat locking hub that replaces the clutch if you want something easy. His site is: http://www.eaglesviewaerial.com/revoelectrickit.html. Or, you can use the stock parts and lock it like this:



All you have to do is file some half-moon shapes into the clutch at three points so they match up with three of the holes in the gear and then screw in some 4mm screws.
