Slayer to ERevo to ESlayer Conversion Idea... - 02.03.2010, 05:58 PM

Hey guys!

I've got a Slayer that is ready to go for BL. All I need to do is buy the RCM motor mount, mount up my Neu, ESC, attach a servo for the F/R Biased Brakes (Center Diff to), and go.

BUT.. I was thinking that why not buy an ERevo Chassis, ERevo Motor Mount Asmbly, ERevo BL Tranny, then transfer everything else over to that set up. That way my MMM mounts up nice and neat, my can mounts up nice and neat, and my batt's are protected inside.

I thought it was such a great idea, that I decided to purchase all this stuff on eBay, and I got all of it for ghetto cheap.

I figured that rather than mess with locking the tranny just to use the F/R brakes, then having to mess with a brake servo, that I would just skip that part, and the CD, and go this route. Since I have an ERBE and a Summit, I've got lots of spare parts lying around for that platform. This chassis will be a little longer than the 2.5, but that's not a biggie.

Just wondering if you guys thought this was a good or bad idea? Like something I didn't forsee? I'm sure I'm not the first guy to do this.
