other esc's besides cc

I love my CC mmmv3 so far but I keep askiing myself if they are the end all be all of of esc's. I have a neu 1521 coming in the mail soon and I wonder if I can pump more than 6s through this beast? Should I go for the new CC XL esc and try 8s on this beast? or are there other esc options out there aside from tekin and cc that is worth the money? I know cc has great customer support and all but are they the end all be all of HV escs for rc trucks and cars? whats your opinion?
